Incorporating a select service menu of hair and beauty offerings, The House of Swain’s overriding aim is to care for people and the planet in synchronicity, which is why you’ll find us working as sustainably as possible, wherever possible. We’re mindful of our affiliations too, which is why we also partner with like-minded brands, so we can offer you luxury services with a conscience.
Launched with love in 2005 by our Founders, Jennifer and Andrew Swain,
Housed within our beautifully designed salon space in the heart of Whitehaven, a Georgian coastal town in Cumbria, our talented team of eight is on hand to cater to your every hair and beauty need in a calming, welcoming space that ensures you can sit back and relax. And to help you unwind in style, we also boast an in-house bar, so you can enjoy a drink while
in the chair, while we tend to your hair.

We’re also proud to offer hairdressing education in our heavenly haven (click here to find out more) and while we don’t like to boast, we’re also a multi-award-winning Great Lengths extensions salon, awarded Elite Master Status, the highest accolade by the brand, for our outstanding expertise and knowledge (we are also one of only seven salons in the UK to be awarded this status from more than 2,000 affiliated salons).
